Description

The Highline DLWA 3000-3T/3+ ETI is a three-lane DREITANK washer for continuous cleaning of E1/E2 containers, including label removal. The system is designed for a nominal output of 3,000 crates per hour and can also clean E3 containers and baskets in the front lane (typical output 600-800 units/h, depending on the basket type).

The machine housing is completely double-walled, soundproofed and thermally insulated, manufactured in one piece and fully welded - designed for stable, energy-efficient continuous operation in an industrial environment.

 

Process structure and washing technology

Pre-wash zone 1
In the unheated pre-wash, a drum filter tank (2,800 litres) operates over a zone length of 2,700 mm. Circulation is provided by an 18.5 kW pump with 2,500 l/min at 3 bar.

Pre-wash zone 2/label removal
In the second pre-wash zone, a 2-fold fine drum filter operates in front of the 40 kW heated tank (2,400 l) over a zone length of 2,700 mm. Circulation takes place via an 18.5 kW pump with 2,500 l/min at 3 bar. The washing temperature is 45-48°C.

Two multi-stage centrifugal pumps, each with 22 kW, are integrated into the pre-wash system to remove the labels from the ends of the containers. Pressure filters, which are installed upstream of a high-pressure pump, primarily serve to protect the pump and downstream system components from mechanical damage caused by dirt particles.


Main washing area and label removal

The main washing area uses a 2,400 litre tank with a 2-fold fine drum filter over a washing length of 5,400 mm. Here too, an 18.5 kW pump provides 2,500 l/min at 3 bar.

Two multistage centrifugal pumps, each with 22 kW, are integrated in the main wash area to remove labels from the long sides of the containers . The process is designed for a sufficient exposure time to dissolve the glue and/or label. Plastic deep-freeze labels cannot be removed due to their design. The guaranteed removal rate on the transverse and longitudinal sides is ≥ 95% in total (measurement without pre-sorting; e.g. combinations such as 90/100% are possible as long as the total reaches ≥ 95%).

 

Container handling, turning and discharge

A triple container turner with drive/separation and dirt ejector safely turns the urn standard containers. At the outfeed, a drive separation with crate rotation in the longitudinal direction ensures a defined transfer.

 

Infeed, transport and zones

Rinsing and drying

  • Washing temperature:20-55 °C (over zone length 5,400 mm)
  • Water consumption: approx. 0.5 litres per container
  • Rinse zone: Fresh water + "NADES" with flow temperature ≥ 60 °C
  • Blow-off zone:10 ELEKTROR high-pressure fans, 4 kW each
  • Air knife: can be dismantled and cleaned via flange with quick-release fastener

 

Operation, control and design

The system is equipped with a SIEMENS S7-1200 control system and SIEMENS operating screen in the main control cabinet. The mechanical components and the control technology preparation are provided for the rinsing agent and additive supply.

Switch cabinets: RITTAL (coated steel), RITTAL HD stainless steel on the machine; RITTAL HD switch cabinets with Schmersal buttons/displays are provided in the work area.

The control cabinets are designed so that they can easily be placed in a suspended ceiling.

 

Heating, exhaust air, service access
