Environmental technology
The category environmental technology mainly includes products for the disposal of waste, as it arises in various production plants, the foodstuff and pharmaceutical industry or also in the butchery trade. The environmental technology products in our portfolio are made for the most part of rustproof stainless steel. Moreover, they have excellent cleanability in most cases, making them particularly well suited for use in hygienically sensitive production areas. Apart from conventional trash cans, waste baskets and the like, the range also includes special wet waste bins in the form of garbage cans which are specifically suitable for the wet waste coolers also included in the product range.
Our products in the area of environmental technology are especially optimised for use in the foodstuff industry, but can of course also be used in many other industries. Besides the good hygienic properties, our products are characterised by robustness and a long service life thanks to their stainless steel design.
Environmental technology
Trash can (without foot operation)
We offer the waste collector type AB in rustproof stainless steel without foot operation in three different configurations: In a square or round version (with removable, galvanised inner bin) with 40 litre capacity and hinged lid in each case, as well as the square version with 70 litre capacity and swing lid.
Trash can (with foot operation)
The waste collector type AB-S/F in robust stainless steel design is offered in three sizes: with 45 litre, 90 litre and 152 litre capacity. All models are equipped with a foot operation for opening and closing the lid and have a garbage bag holding device on the inside and a carrying handle on the rear side.
Waste sluices
Our waste sluices made of rustproof stainless steel are suitable for separating clean and unclean areas. They are available in four versions with a garbage bag holder, paper basket, small or large pallet box. The advantage is clean hygiene areas, as waste disposal takes place exclusively in the unclean area.
Waste baskets
Waste baskets type PK-E with a capacity of 40, 80 or 100 litres in a sturdy industrial version made of stainless steel can be used both wall-mounted and floor-standing thanks to a separately available suspension. The base plate is slightly bevelled to allow unhindered water drainage.
Paper baskets
The paper baskets type PK-D made of stainless steel wire mesh are available in three sizes with capacities of 40, 60 and 100 litres and are particularly suitable for light filling materials. The paper baskets are suitable for installation on the floor or for hanging on the wall.
Garbage bag holder
We offer garbage bag holders type MSH for 120 litre garbage bags both as a mobile model with rollers and as floor-standing and wall mounting models. The models as a stand frame or for hanging on the wall can also be ordered with or without a lid. Base plates for heavy filling materials are optionally available.
Roll holder
For the take-up of commercially available disposable towel rolls or industrial cleaning cloth rolls, we offer roll holders type RH-W for on-site wall mounting, made of very hygienic stainless steel round tube frame.
Wet waste cooler
Our wet waste coolers type NMB, which are designed to hold 1 to 4 wet waste bins (120/240 litres) depending on the version, are only suitable for cooling food waste. Moreover, the models can be chosen between versions with their own refrigerating machine or with connection to a central refrigeration supply.
Wet waste bins (garbage cans)
The wet waste bins type KOB are mobile plastic bins (polyethylene) with solid rubber wheels and a capacity of optionally 120 or 240 litres. The weather-resistant wet waste bins are optimally compatible with the wet waste coolers and are available in six colours.

WASTE SLUICES - ENVIRONMENTAL TECHNOLOGY FROM MOHN 
Mohn GmbH is a specialist for technical and technological processes of environmental technology. Our specialised products for disposal are particularly aimed at hygienically sensitive operations, such as in the foodstuff industry or the pharmaceutical industry, but are they are also suitable for a lot of other industries. Most of our products are made of stainless steel design and use a special Hygienic-Design for best cleaning properties.
Waste sluices made of stainless steel
To ensure that sensitive production or hygiene areas do not just remain visually clean, we have developed various system solutions of Waste sluices for different waste volumes especially for the food processing industry and the pharmaceutical industry.
Waste sluices made of high-quality rustproof stainless steel are installed in the wall between clean and unclean areas (black/white separation) and thus keep waste out of the hygiene area.
Hygiene area without waste
The regular emptying of conventional trash cans and the movements of cleaning staff within the hygiene or production areas are no longer necessary when using a waste sluice. Internal transport and passenger traffic in the hygiene areas is reduced, as waste collection containers no longer must be moved in order to be emptied.
Waste sluices made of stainless steel from MOHN
For installation, the shaft of the waste sluice including pendulum flap is installed from the unclean area through a corresponding wall cut-out, which is screwed to a frame in the clean area and neatly faced with cover plate. Now the personnel can throw the waste through the pendulum flap into the trash can. On the unclean side, there is an inspection window made of plastic in the stainless steel design so that the filling level can be easily monitored.
In the area of environmental technology, we offer different types and models for waste disposal.
For low to medium waste volumes, we offer waste sluices with a removable waste basket and a waste volume of 40 litres. However, larger dimensioned waste baskets or garbage bag holders (60 litres to 120 litres) are also possible.
For large quantities of waste, our disposal solutions are available via pallet boxes or large boxes, which are loaded on the disposal side via large hinged doors using hand pallet trucks.
