Manufactured from 18/10 chromium-nickel steel, material grade 1.4301.
The externally visible stainless steel sheet surfaces have a 320-grit sanded finish.
The externally visible stainless steel profile surfaces, such as tubular frame constructions, all have a brushed finish.
Description
This custom-made round container was developed for use in a cheese dairy and is designed to hold, transport within the facility and allow for the controlled emptying of cheese curd. According to the customer’s specifications, the mass is discharged from a cutter into the container, then lifted from the chassis using a pulley block or hoist and emptied into a subsequent vessel.
The open-top round container has a capacity of approx. 300 litres and is supplied without a lid. The container base is funnel-shaped and slopes towards the outlet, ensuring that the cheese curd is directed precisely towards the centrally positioned outlet opening. The outlet was custom-designed in accordance with the customer’s specifications. A slide unit is not included in the design; instead, a base plate is provided for on-site installation.
A flat metal plate is permanently welded inside the vessel. This is intended to accommodate the hook of a pulley block at a later stage. The required hole is to be drilled by the customer, so that the attachment can be precisely adapted to the existing lifting equipment.
The mobile stainless steel frame is a sturdy square-tube construction. The front features 45-degree bevelled corners, allowing the container to be manoeuvred more easily under a cutter or into the relevant work area. The product images also clearly show that the round container fits securely into the frame but can be lifted out from the top if required. The top view shows the open container shape, the surrounding rim and the segmented funnel base, which slopes towards the outlet.
To facilitate easy manoeuvring in the production area, the frame is fitted with four castors: two fixed castors at the front and two swivel castors with brakes at the rear. The polyamide wheels have a diameter of 80 mm; the wheel housings are made from V2A stainless steel (grade 1.4301).
The hopper container is particularly suitable for production processes in which cheese mass must be transferred in batches from a cutter, transported safely, lifted and then transferred precisely to another container or process stage.
