DESCRIPTION AND SPECIAL FEATURES
The industrial washing system is characterised by several remarkable features that underline its performance and adaptability. With an impressive hourly output of up to 1200 2/1 GN containers (650 x 530 x 200 mm), it efficiently fulfils its main task. In addition, up to 500 plastic lids measuring 655 x 460 x H 20 mm can be thoroughly cleaned per hour in this system.
The throughput width of the washing tunnel is 660 mm, which provides sufficient space to transport the GN containers and lids through the system in a transverse direction. Special hold-down devices have been implemented to ensure safe and effective washing. These hold the wash items in place to prevent them from being "pushed out" by the water pressure.
The stainless steel conveyor belt is customised to the items to be washed and has welded-on cams. This helps to ensure that the GN containers are always at an appropriate distance from each other. This prevents the ends of the GN containers from bumping into each other during the cycle, which also ensures that the moulds are cleaned thoroughly.
A generously dimensioned stainless steel centrifugal pump in the main washing area, with a total output of 11 kW, enables a circulation of 1,500 litres per minute at a washing pressure of 3 bar, which guarantees a high cleaning performance.
The industrial washing system is designed as a two-tank washing system. The tank in the pre-wash zone has a capacity of around 800 litres, while the tank in the main wash zone has a capacity of 900 litres. Both are equipped with a separate external box filter that efficiently removes coarse dirt and adhering residues. The external filter can be easily cleaned during operation, making maintenance of the system easier.
A special highlight is the V4A steam tube heat exchanger in the tank with a heating capacity of 40 kW. This makes it possible to increase the washing temperature to around 55 to 60°C, which means that even baked-on dirt can be effectively removed. The included condensate return utilises the residual energy of the condensate in the boiler house, which contributes to sustainable energy efficiency.
The rinse zone is supplied with fresh water by the customer. After a thorough fresh water rinse, in which excess detergent is removed, the GN containers or lids are transferred to the blow-off zone via the neutral zone. Here, the wash ware is blown off from all sides via flow-optimised air blades before it can be removed in the 1500 mm long discharge zone with limit switch.
A sophisticated vapour extraction system, which integrates extraction points in the inlet and outlet area of the washing system, ensures a significant reduction in condensation during operation. These technological refinements make the system not only extremely effective in terms of cleaning performance, but also resource-saving and economically viable.
