Due to its material properties, a sink unit or sink unit cabinet made of stainless steel is ideal for use in all areas with hygienic requirements.

A research group at Manchester Metropolitan University published a study in 2007 which confirmed the germ resistance of stainless steel. The good performance of stainless steel allows several conclusions to be drawn with regard to hygiene:

  1. The chromium oxide surface remains very smooth even after heavy use and frequent cleaning. Germs cannot find a suitable breeding ground. At the same time, the consistently smooth surface facilitates hygienic cleaning. 
  2. The material does not react with common detergents or disinfectants. The surface remains undamaged, we call this property "inert". This feature is created by the passive layer of the stainless steel, which prevents ions from escaping from the material. 
  3. The material does not release particles when stressed. This prevents pollution of food, liquids or other organic substances when they come into contact with stainless steel.

Especially in food-processing plants with high hygienic standards in accordance with applicable HACCP guidelines, a hygienically impeccable working environment is essential. In the catering trade and in industrial kitchens, the sink is the most important workplace, apart from the cooker: From cleaning and preparing foodstuffs, to pouring and draining, to waste disposal, stainless steel sink units and sink unit cabinets play a central role. We offer stainless steel sink units in three different configurations with one, two or three sinks and optionally with drip-off zone. Our stainless steel sink units are all of robust square pipe frame construction. Thanks to height-adjustable screw feet, these can be adapted to the floor level.

We offer our standard sink unit cabinets made of stainless steel with one or two sinks. Depending on the intended use, our sink unit cabinets are available with or without a drip-off zone, which can be positioned either to the left or right of the basin. The cabinet lower structures can be equipped with sliding or hinged doors as desired.
