Hygiene technology in the fish smokehouse

The Belgian fish smokehouse Het Vishuis from Hoogstraten, founded in 2010, had already involved Mohn GmbH in the planning phase of the new building, which then planned and implemented a complete hygiene concept. The move to the 600 square meter new building then took place in 2020.

Project description and special features

  • The picture above left shows a knee-operated stainless steel hand washbasin with manual soap and disinfectant dispensers mounted on the rear wall. Hand drying is carried out using disposable paper towels, protected by the endless roll from the stainless steel roll box.
  • The picture above in the middle shows a stainless steel hand washbasin with a base unit with a manually operated 1-hole mixer tap. The hands are dried using disposable folded paper towels from the stainless steel towel dispenser.

The hands are dried using disposable folded paper towels from the stainless steel towel dispenser. A stainless steel cabinet for storing disposable protective equipment is integrated on the left.
  • The picture below right shows a wall-mounted cleaning machine for hygienic shoe sole cleaning. The special plate brushes can also be used to easily clean the edges of the shoe sole without the need for an artistic foot movement. The color-coded VIKAN hygiene system with scrubber, floor squeegee and broom can also be seen mounted on the wall, which prevents cross contamination in other rooms.
