The 1000 watt digital motor (without brushes) creates a stream of air that passes unheated air through a gap at 549 kilometres per hour. This resulting air cushion works like an invisible windscreen wiper, wiping the wetness from the hands and thus drying them completely in just 14 seconds.

The device is completely touch-free. It is not possible to set the water temperature manually. In order to be able to wash the hands at a desired temperature, the water must be tempered beforehand. This can be done, for example, by a thermostatic mixer or pressure-resistant, electronically controlled instantaneous water heater.

The unit has an automatic rinse function. After 24 hours of non-use, the unit flushes for one minute. This process is repeated until the appliance is used.

The Dyson Airblade Wash&Dry is DVGW tested and certified.
