Description

The Desi-Star Highline hand disinfection unit is designed for professional use in hygiene-sensitive areas. The Highline model, featuring a hygienic design made of 1.4301 stainless steel, offers a durable, easy-to-clean construction and high-quality finish for daily use in workplace hygiene procedures. The unit is available in a wall-mounted version and can be optionally supplemented with a base stand if required.

The disinfectant is dispensed via a tamper-proof two-hand sensor control. Once both hands have been detected by the sensors, the hands are wetted with the disinfectant in the preset application quantity. The integrated full-cone spray nozzles ensure that the hands are thoroughly wetted over a large area. The device can also be integrated into higher-level control systems via the provided potential-free contact, for example, to activate an electric door opener as part of an access control system.

A key feature is the lockable storage compartment integrated into the unit for canisters up to a maximum size of 10 liters. This allows for the closed and hygienic storage of the disinfectant directly within the unit. At the same time, the lockable canister storage compartment helps restrict access to the canister contents and ensures the orderly and safe handling of the disinfectant. With regard to operational requirements for product protection, food defense, and the controlled handling of chemicals, this model can effectively support organizational safety measures.

For additional operational safety, the Desi-Star Highline features a multi-LED signal display as well as a visual canister emptying indicator. The device is optionally available as the Desi-Star-A with an additional sensor alarm function. If hand disinfection is not performed when passing through to production or a cleanroom, a special sensor activates an alarm horn. A second sensor detects people on their way back, ensuring that no alarm is triggered in that direction. The alarm function thus supports targeted access monitoring as part of regulated hygiene procedures.

The Desi-Star Highline hand disinfection unit can be used wherever people are required to perform reliable hand sanitization before proceeding into designated operational areas. It is particularly suitable for passageways and entrances where hygiene measures need to be firmly integrated into internal operational procedures.

Typical locations include production entrances, side entrances, goods delivery areas, driver access points, as well as hallways and internal connecting pathways. The unit can also be placed at entrances to areas where employees, drivers, visitors, or external personnel are required to comply with the company’s hygiene protocol before entering a sensitive section.

This device is also ideal for installation in goods receiving areas. It is precisely in these areas where internal staff, drivers, and external service providers interact at operational touchpoints where regulated hand hygiene is essential. In a driver’s airlock, the device can help integrate external visitors into the company’s hygiene protocol in a controlled manner before they enter adjacent areas.

In addition, the device is suitable for hallways, entry zones, and internal passageways where people are guided along defined routes. This allows hand hygiene to be implemented directly at the appropriate transition point and meaningfully integrated into existing operational workflows.
