Description
The smoke stick washing system is the efficient complete solution for the thorough cleaning of 250 to 300 smoke sticks - designed for professional use in food processing companies, especially in meat and sausage production. The system consists of two central components: a stationary washing station and a mobile washing drum trolley, which can be flexibly loaded on site and then cleaned.
Practice-orientated design for smooth processes
The washing drum trolley has a stable chassis and a robust, 3 mm thick stainless steel drum. The drum is filled at any point in the factory - for example, directly in production or in the storage area. As soon as it is around two thirds full of dirty smoke sticks, the trolley is securely closed and taken to the washing station. This saves unnecessary transport routes with the skewers themselves and significantly reduces manual labour.
Quick coupling system for easy handling
In the washing station, the trolley is connected to both the water inlet and the drive for the drum rotation via quick couplings. An employee starts the washing process at the touch of a button on the clearly laid out control box with SIEMENS technology. Operation is intuitive and requires no special prior knowledge.
Efficient and thorough cleaning with minimal consumption
The wash water is forced into the tank of the drum trolley by compressed air from the central 400-litre tank of the wash station. A powerful 10 kW electric heater quickly brings the water up to operating temperature (55-65 °C). Cleaning is carried out mechanically by rotating the drum - supported by an integrated detergent dosing system if required.
Sophisticated rinsing process with water recovery
After the main wash cycle, fresh water is automatically added for rinsing. An overflow system in the drum tank ensures that impurities are removed efficiently. The cleaned water is fed back into the central tank of the washing station and can be used for further rinsing cycles - this reduces water consumption to only approx. 50 litres per cycle.
Drying immediately afterwards
After rinsing, the drum starts moving again - this post-rotation is used for controlled draining and drying of the smoke sticks. They leave the system virtually dry and can be processed or stored immediately.
Flexible use - optimised for continuous operation
A key advantage of the system is the ability to use several washing drum trolleys alternately. While one trolley is being cleaned, a second can already be loaded - this minimises downtimes and optimises the cleaning flow during operation. This turns a previously time-consuming cleaning task into a structured, efficient part of the production chain.
Robust design - low-maintenance and durable
All components are designed for long-term use in an industrial environment. The washing drum is made of solid stainless steel, the control unit is protected against splash water and the moving parts are designed to be easy to maintain. The robust drum lock ensures maximum safety during operation.
