Lifting and tilting device in the meat industry
At the renowned Böseler Goldschmaus Group, efficiency is the top priority when it comes to the high-quality processing of beef and pork products. With an annual throughput of an impressive 33,000 cut cattle at the Oldenburg, Germany site, the company is always on the lookout for innovative solutions.
In 2022, a groundbreaking measure was introduced that not only increases production output, but also significantly improves working comfort for employees. A specially developed lifting and tipping device made of stainless steel was implemented. This enables ergonomic loading of beef products from large containers into a fully automated packaging line.
Task
The Böseler Goldschmaus Group is constantly striving to set new standards in the industry. By using the latest technology, the company not only focuses on the highest quality in meat processing, but also on a working environment that meets the requirements of ergonomics and efficiency.
Taking this corporate philosophy into account, the declared goal was to significantly improve the workplace design on the packaging line in terms of handling the large containers filled with high-quality meat products - also known as big boxes. This should lead to a significant increase in productivity.

Project description and special features
Taking into account the customer's requirements, the intended use and other decisive aspects such as room structures, production processes, dimensions, load-bearing capacity, tipping height as well as the type and nature of the filling material, the choice fell on a lifting and tipping device with a receptacle for large containers mounted on the left side of the lifting column.
This design measure allowed the machine to be optimally positioned at the installation site, which made it possible to place it in the immediate vicinity of a support pillar without restricting the workplace on the packaging line.
To avoid contact with the existing ceiling beam, it was necessary to take into account the overall height of the lifting and tipping device. This includes the tilting position of the large container with dimensions of 1200 x 800 x 800 mm.
The filling or tilting height of the large containers was precisely set to 1,550 mm, matching the height of the hopper of the Thermoformer RE20 automatic packaging line. The lifting and tipping device is designed for a maximum load of 500 kg, including the container.
Thanks to the customised solution from Mohn GmbH, the Böseler Goldschmaus Group benefits from efficient and ergonomic feeding of its packaging line. The lifting and tipping device enables a smooth production flow to increase the productivity of the operation.
