Sole cleaning
Sole cleaning technology for the foodstuff industry
Sole cleaning of work shoes, clogs and boots is an important and necessary step in maintaining high hygiene standards in many hygienically sensitive operations, such as in the foodstuff industry or pharmaceutical production plants. It is primarily the soles of the shoes that cause the transfer of dirt and contaminants to the production areas. As a rule, the soles should be cleaned before entering and after leaving the work area to prevent contamination and soiling. Devices and systems for sole cleaning can be implemented separately or as an integrated part of a hygiene concept. In this product area, however, we are presenting separately installed systems for sole cleaning that are used manually or force-guided.
In contrast to the systems for exclusively cleaning soles, the systems for boot cleaning are designed for the combined cleaning of boot shafts, soles and sole edges. Cleaning the soles of work shoes and clogs worn exclusively in production facilities is important to prevent contamination from outside and/or to prevent soiling of the social or changing rooms after work is done or during work breaks. Therefore, depending on the production area, cleaning the soles before and after work or during breaks is also recommended. The systems presented below enable effective and time-saving cleaning of soles and - depending on the system - boot shafts as well.
Stationary sole cleaning
The models for stationary sole cleaning have been designed for cleaning the soles of work shoes or clogs. Both models are equipped with a holding bracket and sensor that automatically activates the brush and detergent mixture. We offer both floor-standing and wall-mounted models.
Pass-through sole cleaning
The models of the force-guided sole cleaning are overflow sole cleaning machines for both directions, which cannot be bypassed and are designed with railings on both sides. Our models guarantee thorough cleaning or disinfection of the soles with minimal expenditure of time and energy. We offer versions with different brush lengths.
Combined sole cleaning
In this product category we offer a system for the combined, manual cleaning of soles, boot shafts and aprons. The system has a back wall, mechanical brush rollers for cleaning soles, a splash spray for quick pre-cleaning and a water-flowing hand brush for cleaning aprons and boots.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION FOR THE SOLE CLEANING SYSTEMS
PLANNING AND IMPLEMENTATION OF SOLE CLEANING
In many hygienically sensitive production plants, such as in the foodstuff industry, sole cleaning systems are part of the necessary equipment for maintaining high hygiene standards. In order to integrate these systems for sole cleaning as effectively as possible into a comprehensive hygiene concept, their placement is particularly important and requires a lot of experience based on the legal requirements by the food control authority. Often this type of cleaning is also combined with sole disinfection or boot cleaning to meet the hygienic requirements.
Sole cleaning must be carried out after leaving the soiled work areas and before entering spaces used for other purposes, such as social areas, such as social rooms, changing areas or the canteen. The sole cleaning systems can be part of a hygiene station or be installed upstream of it. The choice between manually operated systems for sole cleaning (stationary or combined) and force-guided variants should be selected depending on the number of staff and local conditions. The advantage of the force-guided sole cleaning system consists in its absolute reliability due to its unavoidable constructional design, which guarantees that the applicable hygiene regulations are complied with in this area.
