  • Final fresh water rinse: The fresh water runs into the tank of washing zone 3 and exits here as slightly contaminated waste water. In case of underfilling into the tank of wash zone 1 or wash zone 2, the overflow closes and the water cascades down to the tank of wash zone 1. The cleaning process is also possible without constant fresh water supply.
  • Large and easy to clean external filter boxes with funnel overflow
  • Neutral drip zone: length 1000 mm with suction connection
  • Blow-off zone 1 type BS2: length 1800 mm with 2 blower motors ELEKTROR with 5 kW power,
    adjustable stainless steel air knives allow blowing off the residual water of the KLT containers, trays and lids.
  • Blow-off zone 2 type BS4H: length 2700 mm with 4 blower motors ELEKTROR with 5 kW power each of an auxiliary heating of 30 kW power, depending on the container construction, a reduction of the residual moisture down to a few grams can be achieved.
  • Outfeed of the containers from the machine and transfer to an outfeed table 1000 mm long with roller conveyor open at the bottom and limit switch.
  • Outfeed table: length 1000 mm with limit switch and buffer roller conveyor connected to it: length 5000 mm or individually according to project requirements.

In our example shown here, we see a customized industrial washer designed for dual-lane cleaning and drying of small load carriers (KLTs), trays and lids for small load carriers. The system can clean small load carriers (KLTs), trays and lids with a height of up to 410 mm and a maximum width of 410 mm. The small load carriers and trays are transported longitudinally through the cleaning tunnel on separate tracks. The trays, due to their special design, are transported through the system in blocks of two or four using a stainless steel cleaning rack. The lids of the small load carriers, on the other hand, are guided on edge through the cleaning tunnel on a separate track.

In our industrial washing system, the items to be washed are conveyed in a straight line through the optimally coordinated zones. Thanks to user-friendly lateral and height adjustments, different wash loads can be efficiently cleaned without any problems. The guides can be adjusted without tools and effort within a few seconds.

The large-volume water tanks have been double-wall insulated, which ensures minimal heat radiation and low energy losses. This ensures maximum efficiency and saves valuable resources. In addition, there is a special collection tray under the tanks, which is equipped with a monitoring switch to detect potential leaks or spills at an early stage, thus ensuring reliable protection against undesirable incidents.

Both wash zone 1 and wash zone 2 are equipped with efficient disc skimmers. These skimmers ensure that oil and grease that come off during breaks are removed from the water surface. The disc skimmer consists of a driven, vertical disc, with the lower part submerged in the water surface. The floating oil adheres to the disc and is carried by the rotating disc to the scrapers. The oil then flows from the scrapers through a hose into a special collection tank. This significantly extends the service life of the amount of liquid available in the wash tank. In this way, we ensure an environmentally friendly and cost-efficient cleaning solution.

The power and water consumption of the system is measured and recorded using an integrated measuring device in the SIEMENS S7-1200 control system. The BUS capability of the control system enables connection to the customer's intranet, ensuring accurate data collection on site.

The industrial washer is equipped with a powerful blow-off function, which allows a low residual moisture content of only 6-12g. This value can vary, depending on the type of container, and is determined by a precise weighing procedure after the container exits the system. For optimal drying results, we recommend the use of rinse aid during the last rinse and the use of as-new containers with smooth surfaces.

Please note that the waste water from the machine may have to be discharged via an oil separator or disposed of as special waste water. Large quantities of oil and grease or toxic substances on the surfaces, for example, are problematic, whereas simple dust contamination is not. Thanks to the three-tank technology, the water requirement and thus the amount of wastewater (heavily contaminated) can be significantly reduced. The wastewater from the rinsing tank of the 3rd wash column, on the other hand, is only very lightly contaminated and can be discharged into the wastewater network without any problems.

The workplace-related sound emission value for this customized small load carrier (KLTs) washing system is ≤85db(A) b.
