Mohn hygiene stations
What is a hygiene station?
Hygiene stations prevent the spreading of undesired substances or transmission of germs from the outdoor area into clean production areas.
A personnel hygiene station is a system which has to be installed stationary, in which a specified sequence of various steps is made for the hygiene.
This includes hand cleaning with subsequent hand disinfection of the dried hands as well as a thorough sole cleaning or disinfection. Optionally, a module for boot cleaning is available for the hygiene station.

FIELDS OF APPLICATION FOR HYGIENE STATIONS
IMPLEMENTATION OF A HYGIENE STATION
Compact hygiene station Type Check-In-Station III Higline - 1-track, forced guiding personnel hygiene
A hygiene station for your employees and visitors consists in the first place of hygiene components for cleaning, drying and disinfecting hands as well as for the cleaning and disinfection of shoes and boots. Also cleaning of the corresponding working clothes, such as aprons and gloves, for example, can be carried out with it.
Here we distinguish between 3 types of hygiene stations
1. Forced guiding, spatial hygiene stations
Hygiene components planned in a room
2. Forced guiding, compact hygiene stations
Hygiene components combined in a plant
3. Hygiene stations per operating instructions
Small businesses or side entrances
Depending on the size of operation and structural conditions on site, our hygiene specialists design for your requirements a tailor-made hygiene station depending on the following factors:
- Number of personneltraffic within a certain period
- Number of shifts
- Level of pollution
- Requirements ofthe food regulatory authority in charge
- Individual operational requirements
In the process, we naturally also see to it whether employees carry work equipment with them and how or by whom cleaning of the hygiene components shall take place.
What has to be observed during planning are also potential transport routes and/or escape routes in the area of hygiene stations. Legally required escape widths are implemented through our specifically designed and fieldtested escape route railing gates or magnetic gates.
These can also be coupled with a fire alarm system or an emergency release device, taking care of the required safety in case of an emergency.
Moreover, paths for the cleaning personnel and their equipment carried along are important. That is why fast and hygienic cleaning of the plant should also be taken into consideration. The more hygienic the design and more practical the design of the hygiene station, the less is the level of pollution and the cleaning effort connected with it.
Due to close cooperation with your food inspector and architect, we bet on needs-oriented and cost-effective possible solutions, because basically, forced guiding hygiene stations cannot be necessarily installed in small businesses.
Important information
When planning and implementing hygiene stations, various factors have to observed. Further information can be found here >>>
FORCED GUIDING, SPATIAL HYGIENE STATIONS
Personnel hygiene station type Clean-Check DUO Highline - 2-track, forced guiding hygiene station with hand wash basin, planned within a room.
Ideally, it is about an imperative facility for hygienic cleaning of shoes and washable working clothes as well as for cleaning and disinfecting hands.
Here it is not only a question of existing hand wash basins and disinfection facilities, because there is a compulsion to use the cleaning facilities when passing through hygiene stations.
If this does not happen, the integrated turnstiles will automatically lock the further passage.
The forced guidance of the personnel thus ensures that all steps are carried out in the required sequence and duration.
Furthermore, we use turnstiles for access control which are not released until hand cleaning and hand disinfection and so on have been carried out according to the requirements.
Our sensors installed in the hand disinfection units are outwit-safe. All hygiene components for hand cleaning and hand disinfection can be operated contactless in the process.
In companies with shift operation and thus higher employee traffic at the beginning of a shift, break times as well as at the end of a shift, we recommend to implement the hygiene station within a room in order to prevent personnel congestion on the hygiene components.
Depending on the spatial conditions and the number of employees, this requires a corresponding space, of course.
But it has the key advantage that employees do not get in their way in order to be able to carry out the hygiene procedure without time delays.
Moreover, the way there and back of personnel traffic can be planned and carried out even in two tracks, depending on the space.

FORCED GUIDING, COMPACT HYGIENE STATIONS
Check-In-Station III Highline - 1-lane, force-guided personnel hygiene lock with optional, external Siemens Logo control system
Apart from the hygiene station described above, which is forced guiding and planned within a room, we recommend for rooms with confined space conditions or for side entrances, such as driver locks in the delivery area, so-called forced guiding, compact hygiene stations combining all hygiene components in a space-saving way.
These personnel hygiene stations can be frequently found as additional protection for risk minimisation in HIGH-CARE areas, such as slicer rooms.
With this type of hygiene station, the personnel’s way there and back mostly takes place on a single track.
Obligatory sequence within this compact hygiene station:
- Applying soap from a contactless soap dispenser
- Cleaning the hands in the hand wash basin by means of contactless sensor operation
- Drying hands by means of disposable towels or hygienic hand dryers
- Disinfecting hands by contactless sensor operation
- Cleaning or disinfecting shoe soles or bootlegs
The compact, forced guiding hygiene station is often used in a modified version, e.g. with merely a hand disinfection unit with an integrated turnstile (turning lock) and sole cleaning unit if a hand wash basin and soap dispenser for hand cleaning are already available on site.
In order to secure forced hand cleaning, an automatic soap dispenser with turnstile is often installed.
By means of red coloured soap agent, for example, “misuse” can be recognised at once if the soap was wiped off at the trouser leg.
Important Information
When planning and implementing compact, forced guiding hygiene stations, two versions are available, depending on their intended use. Further information can be found here >>>
HYGIENE STATION PER OPERATING INSTRUCTION
Hygienic-Station Type HS-II and Euroclean Complete Type EC-S - Hygiene stations for small businesses, narrow side rooms and corridors
In contrast to forced guiding hygiene stations, with personnel hygiene stations or hygiene components without turnstiles, the compulsory use is mostly regulated per operation instruction or mandatory signs.
This type of hygiene facilities can be often found in small family businesses or businesses up to 10 employees, where the mutual hygiene education can still take place at eye level.
In small businesses, the hygiene is often in an area, in which a hand wash basin with detergents and disinfectants is provided.
Moreover, disposable protective clothing is handed out there. But also in medium-sized businesses, these hygiene station concepts can be often found with side entrances or small rooms with little traffic of people.
Here it is rather in the form of a hygiene wall with hand wash basin, soap dispenser and disinfectant dispenser as well as a sole cleaning machine which has to be operated manually.
ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT AND ACCESSORIES FOR HYGIENE STATIONS
Knife basket cleaning machine type MKRM-T-II - robust, efficient and economical
Clothes cabinet type GS-2 with bench - Professional social room furnishings
Hygiene stations are often supplemented to become a total hygiene concept in the form of stainless steel dispensers for disposable clothing such as beard protection, headgear et cetera, as well as facilities for cleaning and disinfecting working tools, such as knife basket cleaning machines
and equipment for cleaning, drying and storing working clothes like aprons, shoes and/or boots, as well as by changing rooms that are physically separated from the hygiene station, in which separation of black and white clothes is ensured.
