*Round shape limits contamination and germ formation while facilitating cleaning
** Item no. 62.00.11.20 (Ø 163 mm) respectively item no. 62.00.11.21 (Ø 213 mm) in load class: L15 (15 kN)
Material
Stainless steel 1.4301 (V2A), AISI 304
All elements are welded in an argon shield and then etched, which ensures high quality of the welds.
WATERPROOFING
According to DIN 18195, floor drains must be installed watertight in the surface sealing of the building.
A secure way of connecting sealing membranes to floor drains is the press sealing flange on a 2-part floor drain. Here the sealing membrane is professionally glued to the fixed flange of the lower part of the drain body and pressed using a loose flange.
Another option is bonded waterproofing. The sealing takes place directly on the screed below the tile adhesive. The tiles are laid in a thin tile bed over the bonded seal. That is why this process is called the thin-bed process. The advantage of this seal is that the subsurface (screed) cannot be soaked by dirty water.
areas of application
Places where hygiene requirements, corrosion resistance and durability play a key role, such as in food processing industries, pharmaceutical and cosmetics industries, chemical plants, canteen kitchens, hospitals, public buildings, etc.
amount of waste water
The amount of waste water generated determines the nominal diameter of the drain outlet. Depending on the amount of waste water, the corresponding nominal size DN 75, DN 100 etc. should be selected.
Load class
The traffic load at the installation site of the floor drain is decisive for how stable the corresponding cover must be.
The drains and covers are divided into load classes K3 (3 kN), L15 (15 kN) and M125 (125 kN) within the building according to the PN-EN 1253 standard, depending on the installation location. Load class K3 includes areas where there is only pedestrian traffic, such as toilets.
Load class L15 is used in rooms used for commercial purposes with low traffic density. Areas in which vehicle traffic (forklifts) takes place, e.g. industrial halls, load class M125 is used.
If in doubt, always choose the next higher class.
OptionS
- Bar grid cover, load class: M125 (125 kN)
- Plate grid cover, load class: M125 (125 kN)
- Gas tight plate grid cover (with seal), load class: M125 (125 kN)
- Drain body in stainless steel execution 1.4404/ V4A
- Drain body with outlet DN75
